INSTANT POWER RESTORE: Heavy-Duty Truck Diagnostic Tool for Engine Limp Mode (Derate) & Code Clearing
STOP THE DERATE. RESTORE FULL POWER.
Are you stuck in Engine Limp Mode (Derate) due to a non-emissions fault like low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, or a sensor failure?
Most trucks will keep you speed-limited until the Engine Control Module (ECM) is manually reset. Don't pay a dealer $300+ just for a code clear!
This diagnostic tool for your truck is engineered to perform the critical code-clearing function (DM1) instantly, allowing you to restore full engine power and exit Limp Mode the moment you fix the underlying issue. It’s the fastest way to get your truck back on the road.
Perfect Compatibility with your truck/engine. Simply choose your brand and model from the drop down boxes above when ordering.
Common Derate Codes You Can Clear Immediately
-
Low Engine Oil Pressure: The system derates to prevent catastrophic bearing failure. (Associated SPN: 100)
-
High Engine Coolant Temperature: The system derates to prevent severe overheating, warped cylinder heads, or head gasket failure. (Associated SPN: 110)
-
Low Engine Coolant Level: The system derates because components are not being properly cooled. (Associated SPN: 111)
-
High Fuel Rail Pressure / Low Fuel Rail Pressure: Extreme pressure deviations can damage the fuel system or lead to dangerous lean/rich conditions. (Associated SPNs: e.g., 157)
-
Throttle Position Sensor (APPS) Signal Loss: If the ECM can't reliably read the driver's throttle input, it may default to a severe derate (low idle) for safety. (Associated SPN: 91)
-
Over-Boost / Under-Boost Condition: A serious turbocharger fault (over-boosting can cause engine damage; under-boosting affects efficiency/emissions).
-
Camshaft Position Sensor Fault: Loss of this signal makes accurate fuel injection and timing impossible. (Associated SPN: 606)
-
Crankshaft Position Sensor Fault: Loss of this signal prevents the ECM from knowing the position of the engine stroke, often resulting in a shutdown or severe derate. (Associated SPN: 190 or 723)
Comprehensive Fault Code Coverage (DM1 & DM2)
This tool will cover a wide range of fault codes found on your truck, supporting both:
-
Active Codes (DM1): Issues currently affecting performance or triggering warning lights (these are the codes that put you in Limp Mode).
-
Logged Codes (DM2): Historical faults stored in the system, perfect for preventative maintenance.

Some of the Critical Faults It Detects (Including Derate Triggers):
Engine Faults
-
Engine oil pressure too low or too high
-
Coolant temperature outside normal range (too high or too low)
-
Intake manifold temperature excessively elevated
-
Torque limiting (engine-derate) engaged
-
Fuel rail pressure below required threshold
-
Turbo boost pressure exceeding safe limits
Emissions & After-Treatment (note it clears these codes but does not run DPF regen or bi directionals required prior to clearing, you will need a DPF regen capable scanner from us for that)
-
DPF soot accumulation beyond allowable level
-
After-treatment system fault detected
-
DEF pressure too low (on models equipped with DEF)
Electrical, Sensor & Communication Failures
-
Battery voltage outside acceptable range
-
Crankshaft speed sensor fault
-
CAN communication error
-
Accelerator pedal signal out of range or abnormal
As well as transmission, brakes, chassis and more...
